EV Paros Transfer

Paros island is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Cyclades.

However, tourism is not the only sector where the island excels.

Paros is also famous for its agricultural crops and particularly for its vines and olive oil.

For this reason, there are notable companies operating on the island, such as wineries or farms producing edible products.

Let’s explore together two companies that make Paros well-known through their crops and cultivations.

They certainly worth a visit:

KAMARANTHOS |A MODEL PARIAN ORGANIC FARM

At Kamari village, just 2.5 km from the picturesque harbor of Aliki, discover KAMARANTHOS, an organic farm of 23 acres, created on the base of permaculture principles, collecting and cultivating the flora wealth of Paros island and Cycladic environment in general.

The tour includes familiarisation with the cultivation of olive trees, pomegranate trees, fig and almond trees, as well as the exceptional aromatic herbs and the grapes of the island.

Visitors can enjoy the Parian nature at the kiosk of the farm, tasting the extra virgin olive oil and the “souma” (a famous local spirit produced on the farm), accompanied by homemade local delicacies. Typical products from the farm may be bought as souvenirs and gifts.

MORAITIS WINERY

The Moraitis family winery is located in Naoussa Paros, by the beach of Aghioi Anargyroi. It was founded in 1910 by Manolis Moraitis. He was cultivating his own vineyards, while gathering and vinificating grapes from selected vineyards of the island.

Nowadays, the 4th generation of the family cultivates well known and rare indigenous varieties of Paros island in a privately owned vineyard of 100 acres. It combines the long-standing tradition with the modern technology to produce high quality wines that reveal the unique characteristics of Paros terroir!

Visitors can try wine tastings in a specially designed area. Tour guidance is provided not only to the state-of-the-art production facilities, the small museum with the old winemaking systems and the historical photos, but also to the vintage wine cellar with the oak barrels.
